Continuous Wound, Depth Filter Elements United Filters, Inc. developed the continuous wound, depth filter elements over 25 years ago. Because there are no joints, United's precise winding technique creates a special diamond pattern, unequaled in particle trapping capabilities, which maintains a uniform micron retention throughout the length of the element. United's continuous wound elements are offered in lengths up to 72 inches and diameters up to 5 3/4 inches. United has its own state-of-the-art textile operation. All yarn is controlled from carding and spinning to the finished product. This insures only the highest quality in filter elements from the look and uniformity of the product to its performance in the field.

Absolute Wound Cartridges [ABP] United's absolute polypropylene wound cartridges feature three levels of filtration plus are engineered to provide absolute ratings. These elements feature plastic end caps with gaskets to assure a positive seal in the vessel and an outer porous polypropylene shell as the first level of filtration.

High Efficiency Series: [HEP] United's high efficiency elements feature polypropylene standard diamond wound configuration engineered to high efficiency performance. For example, our part number HEP5R30P is a 5-micron nominal element that will approach 1-micron absolute performance. The High Efficiency Series provides efficient depth filtration with the added benefit of absolute confidence.

Extended Life Series: [EL] United's extended life elements offer the best combination of increased element life with equally satisfactory filtration efficiency. Extended Life elements are available in a variety of filter media to suit your specific application requirements. The winding patterns have been engineered to provide longer life for cost savings while maintaining required filtration efficiency.

United offers a variety of carbon elements manufactured with FDA materials. Elements are available in activated carbon blocks; activated carbon granular; impregnated cellulose; impregnated non-cellulose and multi-stage wound depth filtration elements with carbon in various formats for many applications. United's carbon elements are designed to absorb gas and liquid contaminants, improve taste and odor in drinking water, remove crypto and giardia, and are available for many plating applications as polishing filters. United's carbon elements are engineered to deliver top efficiency for countless filtration applications.

United offers a complete line of replacement and custom bags to fit all manufacturer's filter bag housings. Available in polyester felt, polypropylene felt, nylon felt, polyester multifilament mesh, nylon monofilament mesh, polypropylene monofilament mesh, nomex felt, and Teflon with micron ratings from 0.5 to 1400. United's 100 and 300 series offer efficiencies of 85% to 90% with greater dirt holding capacity, and 500 series bags offer efficiencies of 99% at their respected micron ratings. Bag housings are also available in carbon steel, 304 stainless, and 316 stainless. Sizes range from 1 to 23 bags per housing with pressure ratings from 125 psi to 200 psi. Replacement strainer baskets and liquid displacers are also available for most bag housings.
